LinkedIn® Company Page newsletter reporting deserves a closer look. Newsletter publishers are questioning the disappearance of email-open metrics and what that means for evaluating distribution. The important distinction is between a metric no longer visible in an interface and evidence that people have stopped receiving or reading editions.
What can be established?
LinkedIn’s newsletter guidance describes article views, subscriber growth and audience demographics. Publishers should check their own Page’s analytics interface because availability and definitions can change. The absence of an email-open figure does not establish whether an email was delivered, read or ignored.
What remains uncertain?
The precise timing and scope of any removal, whether all publishers and Page types are affected equally, and whether newsletter distribution itself has changed require direct confirmation. Reports from individual publishers are useful leads, not a platform-wide dataset. This article will not equate a missing reporting field with reduced reach.
What should a B2B publisher do now?
Record which measures are actually available today and retain comparable historical reporting where permitted. Compare article views, engagement, relevant subscriber growth and traffic from clearly tagged links. Use customer and sales-team feedback to understand whether editions are helping important conversations. Avoid replacing one unreliable proxy with another.
Why this matters to Company Pages
Organisations commissioning a recurring newsletter need reporting they can interpret. A newsletter’s value depends on who it serves and what useful business activity it supports, not simply whether an email-open percentage looks impressive.

Editorial note, 11 October 2026: this is a developing reporting question. The extent and timing of any platform change have not been independently confirmed here.
