Who I am

nnnn

Leaders Social is operated by Fox Tucker as a UK sole trader. This privacy policy explains how I collect, use, share and retain personal data when you visit www.leaders.social, contact me, or use my services.

nnnn

If you have a privacy question or want to exercise your data protection rights, you can contact me through the contact page or via LinkedIn®.

nnnn

Confidentiality

nnnn

I treat client information as confidential and I do not publish client names, project details or case-study information without permission. I may, however, disclose personal data to service providers that help me operate the business, or where disclosure is required by law. Those disclosures are described below.

nnnn

Personal data I collect

nnnn

You can browse the site without creating an account or giving me your name or email address. However, technical information about your visit may be processed by the website and, where you consent, by analytics or marketing services.

nnnn
    n
  • Contact and enquiry data: your name, email address, company, role, message and any information you choose to provide.
  • n
  • Client and service data: information needed to deliver agreed services, manage the client relationship, provide support and keep appropriate business records.
  • n
  • Transaction data: payment status, transaction identifiers, invoices and related accounting information. I do not receive your full payment-card details.
  • n
  • Technical and usage data: such as IP address, browser/device information, pages viewed, referral information and interactions with the site, subject to your cookie and consent choices.
  • n
  • Communications data: messages exchanged by email, LinkedIn® or other agreed channels.

How I use personal data and my lawful bases

nnnn

I use personal data only where I have a lawful basis under UK data protection law. Depending on the circumstances, that may be:

nnnn
    n
  • Contract or steps before entering a contract: to respond to service enquiries, prepare proposals, provide purchased services, manage support and administer the client relationship.
  • n
  • Legal obligation: to keep records required for tax, accounting or other legal purposes and to comply with lawful requests.
  • n
  • Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, manage the business, maintain records, improve services and communicate with clients where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • n
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and similar technologies used for analytics or marketing measurement, and where consent is the appropriate basis for optional marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies, analytics and marketing measurement

nnnn

The site uses a consent-management system so that non-essential technologies are not intended to operate until you make a choice. Necessary technologies may be used without consent where they are required for the website to function, maintain security or remember your privacy choices.

nnnn

If you consent to Analytics, I may use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand website usage and improve the site. These services can process technical and interaction data such as device/browser information, pages viewed and how visitors interact with the site.

nnnn

If you consent to Marketing, I may use the LinkedIn® Insight Tag for marketing measurement, Website Actions, audience insights and the creation of website audiences. LinkedIn® states that the Insight Tag can collect information about visits including URL, referrer, IP address, browser/device characteristics and timestamp, and Website Actions can additionally process limited page, button and session-level interaction information.

nnnn

You can accept, reject or change non-essential cookie choices using the site’s cookie controls. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place lawfully before withdrawal.

nnnn

LinkedIn® communications

nnnn

My services relate to LinkedIn®, and I may communicate with prospective and existing clients through LinkedIn® and/or email. Information you send through LinkedIn® is also processed by LinkedIn under its own privacy terms.

nnnn

Payments

nnnn

I use Stripe to process payments. Stripe processes payment information on my behalf and provides me with transaction and payment-status information needed to administer purchases, refunds, invoicing and accounting. I do not receive your full card number or card security code.

nnnn

Who I share data with

nnnn

I do not sell personal data. I may share personal data with organisations that provide services needed to run Leaders Social, including website hosting and security providers, email and communications providers, payment processors, analytics providers and professional advisers. Current providers may include IONOS, Cloudflare, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn® and Stripe, depending on the service and your consent choices.

nnnn

I may also disclose information where necessary to comply with law, enforce legal rights, prevent fraud or protect the security of the website or business.

nnnn

International transfers

nnnn

Some service providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where this happens, I rely on the provider’s applicable UK data-transfer safeguards, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards, as appropriate.

nnnn

How long I retain personal data

nnnn

I keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing services and support, maintaining appropriate business records, meeting tax/accounting obligations, resolving disputes and establishing or defending legal claims.

nnnn

Retention therefore varies by category. Enquiry data that does not lead to a client relationship is periodically reviewed and deleted when it is no longer useful. Client, transaction and accounting records may need to be retained for longer periods to meet legal, tax or record-keeping requirements. Where you ask me to delete information, I will do so unless I have a lawful reason to retain it.

nnnn

Embedded content and external websites

nnnn

Pages may include content or links from third-party websites. Embedded content can behave as though you visited the third-party site directly and may allow that provider to process data or use its own technologies. Where an embedded service is non-essential, I aim to make it subject to the appropriate consent choice where technically possible.

nnnn

Your data protection rights

nnnn

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to:

nnnn
    n
  • ask for access to your personal data;
  • n
  • ask for inaccurate data to be corrected;
  • n
  • ask for personal data to be erased;
  • n
  • ask for processing to be restricted;
  • n
  • object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests and direct marketing;
  • n
  • receive certain personal data in a portable format; and
  • n
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • n
nnnn

These rights are not absolute and can depend on the lawful basis and circumstances. If you make a request, I may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

nnnn

Automated decision-making

nnnn

I do not use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on you.

nnnn

Complaints

nnnn

If you have a concern about how I use your personal data, please contact me first so I can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

nnnn

Changes to this policy

nnnn

I may update this policy when my services, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date of the most recent update.
