How To Turn Off LinkedIn® Creator Mode

Update: LinkedIn® Creator Mode Retired February 2024

Like many changes made by LinkedIn®, it took many weeks to reach the last of the 50+ colleagues that I lead on LinkedIn®. As of June 2024 LinkedIn® Creator Mode has disappeared from all LinkedIn® Profiles.

This means it is no longer possible to “turn off LinkedIn® Creator Mode.” because you can’t turn off something that no longer exists.

You can still turn off specific profile features and sections that were migrated during the process of retiring Creator Mode.

It takes seconds to turn off Creator Mode. When you turn it off it does it on desktop and mobile.

To turn on creator mode:

1. Click the  Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn® homepage.
2. Click View Profile.
3. Scroll down to Resources and click on Creator mode: Off.
4. Click Next on the Creator mode preview pop-up window.
5. Add topics (hashtags) to indicate the topics you post about the most.
6. Click Done.
7. Follow the prompts to turn on creator mode.

To edit your hashtags or to turn off creator mode:

1. Click the  Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn® homepage.
2. Click View Profile.
3. Scroll down to Resources and click on Creator mode: On.
4. From here, you can:
   • Switch the toggle to the left to turn off Creator mode. 
   • Click Add topics to add new topics. 
5. Click Save.
